Thank you Matt and Tracy for having me be there to capture your wedding day. Allow enough time for everything-carefully think out the timeline. Have someone help keep track of your timeline/wedding party so you can have less stress on your wedding day. Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?Ī: Try to keep it as simple as possible, book a venue that speaks for itself so you can have minimal extras to worry about. Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?Ī: It was really important to get married in a church and to us that was a very special start to our marriage! Question and Answer From The Bride HerselfĪ: Matt is really good at finding fun things for us to do….he planned an entire day of fun from breakfast to dinner filled in-between with the things we enjoy doing together!! He waited until the end to propose of course! The way the sun sets over the cityscape makes for some ultra romantic golden hour photos! Tracy and Matt practiced their first dance and had a few moments of alone time before heading back inside for for the party! Day Block has some of my favorite views of downtown. Sunset Portraits on The Rooftop of Day Block Event CenterĪfter a delicious dinner and heart-felt toasts by family and friends, we snuck away to the rooftop for sunset portraits of their downtown Minneapolis wedding. A giant Jenga set was made to serve as a guest book for all who attended to sign and leave messages on. Tracy also had her niece draw the two of them as bride and groom for the front of their ceremony program (image below!). Tying into their love of exploring local breweries, table numbers were tucked into cans from some of their favorite spots. Handcrafted and sentimental touches were found throughout the wedding day. The two met out after a Twins baseball game and enjoy visiting local breweries so a venue that is part of a brewery was quite fitting! Brewery Wedding Details The simplicity of the lofted venue allowed their love and natural-toned florals and decor to be the main focus of the day. Tracy and Matt chose Day Block Event Center as their reception venue and it was the perfect backdrop for their celebration. The two made it official at their church with a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family. Andrew Lutheran Church for bridal party and family (and puppy!) portraits. In front of a gorgeous wall of green vines, they saw each other for the first time and had some sweet quiet moments before we headed to St. Tracy had a first look with both her dad and Matt at the Courtyard Marriott Minneapolis Hotel where they got ready for the day. First Look at Courtyard Marriott Minneapolis And with a desire to have minimal decor, they wanted a venue that spoke for itself. When the planning began for their downtown Minneapolis wedding last summer they knew they wanted it to be in a place that reflected them as a couple. Just like the couple themselves, Tracy and Matt wanted an elegant and timeless wedding. Looking back on these photos from Tracy and Matt’s warm summer wedding has me so excited for this upcoming wedding season (and summer nights out in downtown Minneapolis)! As a photographer herself, Tracy knew exactly what she wanted and together she and Matt had every little detail planned for their magical wedding day.
